The Pupu Springs are located near the farewell Spit in the very northern Part of the South Island of NewZealand.

The springs are notable for the volume of water discharged from the eight main vents. It is estimated that 14,000 litres of water are produced per second. (Wikipedia)

This reminds me of the spring-fed stream at the bottom of the hill on the farm where I grew up. Silent sunny days and crystal-clear water. The birds singing in the tussocks and the water weeds swaying gently. My Auntie told me the story of the Water Babies over a place like this.

Beautiful. Peaceful. Amazing.

I want to be there.

But sadly that water is sooo freezing cold, that you freeze to death at an instant when you hit the water ;-)
